I don't know Gagne..

Funny how something comes up from out of the blue, puts you to test and then leaves you feeling downright stupid, with a bruised ego and very, very deflated.

So I don't know Gagne..though I do know that there are hundreds of students out there in the world whose lives I have touched and who probably swear by my teaching methods. They are the people to whom it did not matter whether my pedagogy and education theory were in place or not - what mattered was the love and care with which I treated each one of them. They did not care about my qualifications or the lack of them but they did care about was the manner in which I shared knowledge with them and how I made each one of them feel that they had it in them to learn and apply every bit of knowledge we shared with each other.

To me teaching is a matter of the heart - once you are there the head automatically takes care to function well. And that bring me back to Gagne - who expounded a theory about the lower order and higher order thinking skills and how to utilize these to maximize education.Thank you Mr. Gagne - I have been doing what you expounded without really remembering that I had read about you somewhere and got influenced enough to use your methods. But ask me to quote you verbatim and I am at sea...put me in the classroom with a zillion kids and see me shine...

Sorry people - if I don't measure up in pedagogy, I make up for it in love....and Mr. Gagne RIP....
